Many years ago, I was a full-time stand-in on a ground breaking NBC television series when a very high-profile director was hired to work on the episode. During one of the scenes, this director looked the star actor dead in the eye and completely lied to him about his performance.
It was a massive wake-up call that completely changed the way I think and talk to other industry professionals. Seeing that happen – even at the highest level of the entertainment industry, completely transformed how I handle my acting career. This new way of thinking has helped me stay sane for the last 40 years as a full-time working actor.
