Been submitted 20+ times with no auditions? Try these 4 things that actually work. Don’t worry,
you’re not alone – and it’s probably NOT about your talent.
In this video, I share 4 specific things that actually help actors get more auditions, even when the odds feel impossible.
You’ll discover:
- Why actors aren’t getting called in for auditions (and how to fix it)
- The materials casting directors look for before requesting you
- Why having a reel or slate on Actors Access will help you stand out
- Why effective headshots and proper resume formatting make a huge difference
- A different way of thinking that keeps you confident through constant rejection
The audition numbers can be brutal – sometimes 1,000+ actors get submitted for a single role. This varies depending on the project, but I’ve had many casting directors tell me it isn’t unusual for them to only invite around 30 actors to read for one role.
With the right materials and approach, you can improve your odds of getting requested to read for a role.
After 40+ years as a full-time actor, I’ve learned that booking work starts with getting the audition. These 4 strategies work.
