In this video, I’m tackling a topic that many actors obsess over: the “Numbers Game.” While some people find tracking their statistics helpful, I’m sharing why, after 40 years as a full-time actor, I’ve found these ratios to be incredibly deceiving and, quite often, completely meaningless.
We often hear actors brag about booking 1 out of every 3 or 5 auditions. But the truth is, the industry doesn’t always work like a math equation. There are so many factors behind the scenes—from physical types to director’s personal likes and dislikes – that may have nothing to do with your talent and skew your statistics.
