In this industry, my quick tips are always about the truth—even when it doesn’t make me look good. A few years ago, I rushed through and submitted an audition for a short film that didn’t seem all that interesting. I never heard back with a call back or booking and I have to say, I actually felt relieved.
Sometime later, I looked up the Casting Director and realized she cast some big projects. I hadn’t just lost a job; I had potentially damaged a professional relationship.
