When Actors Tell You ‘Don’t Even Try’ – They Mean…
Four years into my acting career, I told other actors I wanted to break into New York. Several of them immediately warned me: “You’ll just get your heart broken. They already have so many talented actors there. Don’t bother wasting your time.”
I almost listened. But then I realized something that changed everything about how I viewed advice from other actors and people in general.
This video is about recognizing when another actor’s “concern” is actually about THEIR fear, not your reality. Because here’s what I’ve learned: I could live with not succeeding in New York. What I couldn’t live with was never trying.
If you’re an actor considering a bigger market, dealing with discouragement from peers, or wondering whether you should take that leap – this video’s for you.
